Norm Macdonald Stand Up - Similar to the 1997 Iowa Routine

In 1997, Norm performed at a fundraiser for the University of Iowa athletic department at Hancher Auditorium in Iowa City with fellow SNL alums Jim Breuer and Darrell Hammond. Norm's performance was not well received by the 1,200 Iowans, which was filled with mostly families with kids. The Reaction was so negative that University of Iowa Athletic Director Bob Bowlsby issued an apology the day after. "To call it off-color would be a significant understatment," Bowlsby said. Bowlsby estimated 80% of the audience walked out during the show.
