How to Make PROPER Stems for Remixing // Music Producer Diaries

Making stems for your songs can be confusing: what should I include? Effects? Compression? Limiting? How many stems?

In this video I'll show you the BEST way to export stems for archiving your songs, sending your music to be remixed, or even sending it to be mixed and mastered. This technique works for any DAW really. There are however a few different ways to export your tracks from Ableton for instance, so it's important to know what options to use and what not to use, and why you'd want to export manually vs the automatic "all individual tracks" option.
