When I started this journey, and I decided to set up my Facebook business page, the username (custom URL) I wanted @gmarkphillips wasn't available. I was bummed out about it but I went through the process of choosing something close. I never thought I'd ever get that URL because it was being used (sort of). The page it linked to was not populated and it appeared to be abandoned. I notified Facebook and thought nothing would come of it. But something did come of it and in this video I'm sharing this story that's 7 years in the making.
