Who Do People Say That I Am? (Advent Hope)
(Matthew 16:13-16)

13When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

I. He Is Our Hope (Isaiah 61:1-3)
• Good Morning! I am so glad that you are here with us today!
• Today we are looking into the first aspect of Advent which is Hope!
• Jesus is our hope!
• As we examine our text today, we see that Jesus is speaking with the disciples!
• Then He asks them a powerful question, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man am?”
• (Expound) on why this is important.
• Read (Isaiah 61:1-3)

II. He Is Our High Priest (Heb. 4:14-16)
• As we continue in our text, we see that Jesus’ question gathers another set of answers.
• When we look at our position regarding our relationship with God, we needed some way to be restored.
• Thanks be to Jesus!
• Listen to what the writer of Hebrews says.

III. Our Hope Is Found In Him! (John 14:6)
• Choose Jesus Today!
