I like seeds because they're so similar to thoughts. As conscious creators, we're a lot like gardeners, choosing the seeds / thoughts we want to grow in our experience. We plant the thought in our consciousness and then nurture it with attention, positive expectation and focused action. Before long, we're experiencing the fruits of our work in the form of better and more enjoyable experiences.
