JULIAN ACCIARD at School Board fighting CRT

My response in part to the materials the Derry school board was briefed on by a teacher returning from a sabbatical study on critical race theory. I had only 3 mins to speak. No parent should be denied a copy of their child's curriculum or told that their opinions don't matter.

For me this is not some intellectual hypothetical debate about what our kids are being taught. It's all too real for me, it's my kids in public school who have to deal with this indoctrination. Our children should be learning history(all of it), math, science and civics. We have consistently dropped further over the past 4 decades in academic standards as schools preach graduation rates rather than actual comprehension and retention of knowledge.

The left continues to weaponize history and control the narrative by making America the villain, to which us patriots immediately retort America isn't racist. The reality is that the left is putting America on trial for their transgressions and baiting us into defending their policies which have destroyed these communities for generations. I fundamentally reject the premise that America is to blame and that any race is inherently a victim or oppressor.

The solution is to bring back classical education and discipline both by providing options for educational freedom and fixing the methodology of teaching. All we have to do is stick rigidly to principles of conservative governance and the foundation of our nation. We are not a nation of common heritage, tribe or culture but a nation of expats from all over with a singular desire towards limited government, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
