Managing Victims of VIOLENCE against Women and Children in Visayan Dialect

Violence against women and children affects the lives and welfare of millions of people around the world. Many women and children in the Philippines suffer multiple types of violence. Davao Regional Medical Center Women and Children Protection Unit or the Pink Haven is established in support of the government’s goal of ending VAWC and protecting the human rights of women and children. It is a level II facility that caters to abused women and children of Davao de Oro and Davao del Norte.

VISION
The Davao Regional Medical Center’s Women and Children Protection Unit is an integral part in contributing to the Department of Health’s realization of eliminating all forms of gender-based violence and promoting social justice.

MISSION
To provide quality service for women and children who are victims of violence, rape, incest, and other related cases using a multidisciplinary approach in empowering and assisting them in their recovery so as to become productive citizens.
