CCP's Spokesman Zhao Lijian Attacks Pompeo 中共發言人趙立堅再次攻擊彭佩奧

On August 13, at the regular press briefing, CCP's spokesman Zhao Lijian responded to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's speech at the Czech Senate in Prague.
Pompeo said in his speech on August 12, "Now, it might be easy to dismiss the China challenge as just a passing irritant, but I hope you all know it is not so. The regime has a Marxist-Leninist core no less than the Soviet Union did, and indeed, perhaps more so.
"The party has always put itself first. Its actions flow from its ideology. And it’s paranoid about free societies like ours.
"What’s happening now isn’t Cold War 2.0. The challenge of resisting the CCP threat is in some ways much more difficult. That’s because the CCP is already enmeshed in our economies, in our politics, in our societies in ways the Soviet Union never was. And Beijing is not likely to change course in the near future, although one lives in hope."
8月13日，中共外交部發言人在例行記者會上攻擊美國國務卿彭佩奧在捷克發表的針對中共的演講。彭佩奧在8月12日的演講中說，中共對民主和安全的威脅遠大於俄國。
“中國共產黨已經滲透入我們的經濟、政治和社會領域，這是蘇聯從未有過的。”他對捷克議員說，僅在捷克一個國家就看到了中共“對你們的政治家和安全施加影響的行徑，偷竊你們通過創新創造的工業數據以及利用經濟槓桿扼殺自由本身。”
彭佩奧還對捷克議員們表示，他們抵制北京試圖對他們施加經濟和政治影響力的企圖是正確的。他提到了最近中共針對捷克支持臺灣、西藏和香港而對該國官員發出威脅的事態發展。
