Three Gorges Dam Hit by Record Inflow, Discharging Floods from 10 Outlets 三峽大壩十孔漏泄

The inflow of water to the #ThreeGorgesReservoir increased rapidly, and at 12:00 on Aug. 19, the inflow rate rose to 72,000 cubic meters per second, which exceeded the highest level since the reservoir was built (71,200 cubic meters per second, July 24, 2012). It is predicted that the Three Gorges Reservoir will experience a flood peak of about 75,000 cubic meters per second on Aug. 20, and this will pose a big challenge to the dam.
At present, the dam is releasing #flood water with ten outlets.
