Hackers linked to Iran's opposition party, the People's Mujahedin of Iran (MEK), have reportedly attacked government websites with messages of overthrowing Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The attackers left the message "Death to Khamenei - greetings to Rajavi" in reference to MEK leader Maryam Rajavi on sites belonging to the Justice Ministry, as well as religious and tech departments.

Friday has seen violent clashes between protesters and the security forces in Isfahan. Demonstrators could be heard chanting "death to Khamenei" while scenes from unverified footage online show chaos on the streets
