The Survival Medicine Handbook and Stop the bleed kit are two very helpful tools in helping to treat someone who is injured. The Stop the Bleed first aid class should be taken by everyone. It covers basic first aid, CPR and how to stop someone from loosing blood.

I would highly recommend everyone take the training class and also pick up one of the kits to keep in their first aid bag, range bag or EDC bag. You never know when it could come in handy.

The Survival Medicine Handbook was written by medical professionals who wrote it for the average person to understand. It gives you a basic understanding of first aid techniques but shouldn't be considered a replacement for good first aid training.
