These botflies will usually lead to the malnutrition and ultimate passing of small animals. These specific types of flies are a problem for small rodents. The flies lay eggs near the rodent nests and tye larvae clings on and burrows into the animal. Eventually the larvae will drop off and continue the molting process in the soil where they turn into a fly and th cycle continues.
