Padilla Finest Hour Sungrown Review

This 5x52 stick features a dark brown firmly packed slightly oily toothy wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap and pungent sweet hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with rich medium-full bodied smoke showing notes of a big cream flavor and texture, a zingy light wood and touch of natural sweetness. The first third adds a big smooth leather, dialing down the cedar note, adding a nice pepper on the retrohale and tail end of the finish. 25 minutes in at the 1/2 way point construction is flawless and flavors remain the same. Ending at 50 minutes the last third burns quickly but very evenly, with the leather fading out to a soft plain earth, the pepper muted a bit but an oily spice left on the lips.
