Car VS Motorcycle, Cyclist Flown, SPRING CREEK, November 24, 2021 - At approximately 11:30 am on November 24, 2021, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, was east-bound on US-190 West. As the driver, Michael Davis, 56, of Livingston, was passing the intersection of FM-3126 (at the caution light), a white 2018 Dodge Charger, driven by Mandy Phillips, 37, of Livingston, attempted a left turn and failed to yield to Davis. Davis' motorcycle impacted the front driver's side fender of Phillips' car. The impact caused Davis' motorcycle to flip. Davis was ejected (he was wearing a helmet) and landed on the pavement. Phillips pulled to the right shoulder on the east-bound side of 190. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Onalaska Volunteer Fire Department, Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Cotye Lowrie with the Texas Highway Patrol. Davis was transported by ambulance to a landing zone on FM-2457 (next to Blanchard Baptist Church), where an Air Life medical helicopter landed and transported him to Houston. Mandy Phillips was physically okay. Traffic on 190 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Phillips was cited for failing to yield to Davis. Davis' motorcycle was recovered by George White & Sons Wrecker Service and will be stored in Onalaska. Phillips' car was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.
