The machine would have a maximum speed of 8 kilometers per hour and would be weak enough to be contained. To get an idea, Musk says the robot will weigh 57 kilos and will support loads of up to 20 kilos.
The technology is similar to the Tesla car's Autopilot system, which also uses an artificial intelligence system, but to park the vehicle autonomously.
