How to change the oil and reset the maintenance light in a 2018 Toyota Tacoma

Changing the oil and resetting the maintenance light in a Toyota Tacoma is a very easy process anyone can learn to do. Auto repair shops can be expensive and changing your own oil can save you money.

The first step in changing the oil in a Toyota Tacoma is to remove the skid plate from the truck. Once the skid plate is out of the way you will be able to access the oil drain plug and the oil filter canister.

Once you drain the oil be sure to replace the drain plug gasket and the O-rings on the canister for the filter. Fil the oil to the proper level and then start the engine allowing the oil to circulate. Recheck the oil level and then reset the maintenance required light by following the steps in the video.
