B Encouraged: John 19-When Circumstances Claim to Have Authority Over Us That Isn't Real (11/24/21)

In John 19 Pilate says to Jesus, "Don't you realize that I have the power to release you or to crucify you." Pilate is exerting authority in this moment that he doesn't have. It is important that you and I, in this season, not give authority to things that are trying to exert authority that they do NOT have. Remind yourself that these bullying circumstances are powerless before the Cross. You do not stand condemned. In fact, you are free. Stand up to these circumstances - and their deceiving claim to power. It is a day for freedom regardless of the intimidation about you. You are forever free in Christ. B Encouraged.
