A daily full-body stretch regimen can be beneficial to one's physical and mental health.
Stretches can be static (in which the person keeps a fixed position) or dynamic (in which the person stretches while moving). Both static and dynamic stretches can be included in a regular stretching routine.
Stretching may be unpleasant at first, but it should not be painful. A single stretch usually lasts 10–30 seconds, according to reliable sources. Repeating a stretch practice can help because it gets simpler to lengthen the muscles once they have been adequately loosen up.
