Climate change is the biggest issue dividing the world. Yet China is allowed to continue as the top polluter. Is the world doing enough to fight climate change if China’s not required to do much until 2030? That year, China will promise to peak its emissions. Then in 2060, they will become carbon neutral. Given the track record and their repeated failure to keep climate change goals are met with only appeasement from the global climate body. Following the heels of the COP26 climate meeting, who will hold China accountable for its action? Today we dive into the false hope that western democracies bear about China in the climate arena. Joining me is James Taylor, President, and Director of the climate program at the Heartland Institute.
