Yes, I'm aware they existed, no, they were not the "norm" no matter how much you'd like them to have been. They were also VERY different from the U.S. "Frogskin" pattern...... Also, I did not state as a FACT that Friendly Fire was the reason, I said it's been brought up that SOME people in high places may have said that, but I don't necessarily believe that.
