Spanish 101 - Learn Days of the Week in Spanish - Spanish With Profe

In this video we will learn the Days of the Week in Spanish plus questions and possible responses.

lunes - Monday
martes - Tuesday
miércoles - Wednesday
jueves - Thursday
viernes - Friday
sábado - Saturday
domingo - Sunday

el lunes
singular
los lunes
plural

As you can see the words for Monday through Friday in Spanish: lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves, viernes (can either be singular or plural; the number is determined by the use of the articles in front of them) Since Saturday and Sunday are sábado & domingo (both end in a vowel "o") we will need to add an "s" to make them plural.

(On Monday I'm going to work.)

¿Qué días descansas?
(What days are you off?)

¿Qué días no trabajas?
(What days are you off?)

No trabajo ni los sábados ni los domingos
(I don't work neither Saturdays nor Sundays.)

¿Cuántos días tiene la semana?
(How many days are in the week?)

Hay siete días en la semana
(There are 7 days in the week.)
Una semana tiene siete días
