1989 Force Gamefisher 9.9 hp troubleshooting stalling Overheating, testing water Fishing minitruck

Picked up a 1989 Force 9.9 horsepower same as the Sears gamefisher that needed work, the motor would stall after it ran a little while. The person I bought it from tried everything gave up and sold it for $300.
I check over entire engine and lower unit, water pump? Fuel pump for issues and it may have been the simplest thing!

Runs perfect now, so did some Bass fishing with VEE! Then stopped at Jersey Mikes for a decent chain Sub.
