2001-06-16 (Jump 156) Kittery's Tandem and Reserve Ride

My wife had been working at the Skydive Mile High Drop Zone for more than a year, had done 3 Static Line jumps a couple of years before this and decided skydiving was not for her. A Boogie in Calhan came up and several people I jumped with talked her into a tandem.

If you watch the slow motion portion of the video you will see the canopy snivel nicely then bloom open into a bowtie malfunction. That dratted line over malfunction! Her reserve was neon pink and her landing was not caught on film. She and Mike survived quite well and made an easy standup landing on that reserve!
