Video Inspiration: This was a project which took a little time to compilate. I've been wanting to do a project such as this, because I used to be an advent skater when I was younger. I still have the scars to prove it, lol. Skateboarding, skating in general, is an art form mostly looked over as just a way for people to get around. The time and effort it takes for an individual to first master balance, then master their first ollie is daunting. It's also an art form for everyone, no matter their beliefs or background. I've met so many people through skating you would not believe I even knew. It's a very tight knit community of people who adhere to the strong belief of treat others as you would like to be treated. Deemed as rebels, or misfits, is far from the truth. They understand that youth is finite, and the little time you have should be enjoyed at all times. I enjoyed skateboarding just as much as riding by bike. From 'Gleaming the Cube' to 'Thrashin', 'Breakin' to 'Beat Street', skateboarding & breakdancing were intertwined during my youth. It was normal to see someone ride up on a skateboard after doing a kick-flip, then pull off a nice backspin. This was my youth, as was most during the 80's.
