Governor Stitt’s ‘Fine Print’ Raises Questions for Julius Jones Supporters

Protesters in Oklahoma City and across the country cheered Thursday as Governor Kevin Stitt commuted the execution of Julius Jones at the last minute.

Jones was convicted of killing an Oklahoma businessman 20 years ago, but he and his family have always maintained his innocence. Jones will now spend life in prison without the chance for parole. While the commutation is good news for Jones, his family and supporters, “BNC Live” host Tashanea Whitlow says the timing and fine print from the governor does raise a few questions. She is joined by BNC correspondent Derrick Lewis, who provides all the latest details from outside the Oklahoma prison.
