Cooking with Kids: Tomb Cookies: Special Cookies for communicating the message of Easter

We cook these special Easter Tomb Cookies which are so effective to communicate the Easter message to children. We love it!

- The kids beat the walnuts as He was beaten.
- Then taste the vinegar - that quenched Christ's thirst.
- The salt that symbolise our salty tears when faced with our own sin & His sacrifice.
- The sugar is the sweetness of His Salvation.
- The egg whites symbolise how we have been washed as clean as snow.
- The oven (tomb) then gets sealed.
And on Easter morning we open the Tomb. When we crack open the cookies they are hollow/empty. He is risen.
