Beachcoming usually turns up a few pretty seashells and the odd starfish, not skeletons – but that was exactly what horrified locals found on a beach in Russia's Crimea. The recent high tides and heavy rain have washed away the sand to reveal an ancient burial site beneath, exposing human bones from an as-yet-unknown era.
