A sedentary lifestyle is on the list of the main risk factors that affect your health. A recent study (Lancet Glob Health. 2018, Sep 4), with more than 1.9 million individuals interviewed, showed that Brazil has the fifth worst rate of sedentary lifestyle in the world! Especially among women. It is normal that with the rush of daily life, people feel unmotivated to start practicing physical activity. However, the benefits of exercise go beyond physical fitness. Better sleep quality, better stress control, reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, lower risk of cancer, and better quality of life are some of the many benefits provided by exercise.
