The social medias are all abuzz with discussion and debate over the idea of users remaining anonymous behind avatars and fictitious usernames. Is it time for people to come out of the shadows and own their true identities? Or does that anonymity offer a certain amount of protection for those who want to say (or do) controversial -- perhaps illegal? -- things, or criticize others (or even their governments)?
