The History of Vegan Propaganda
Did you know Sanitarium is a wholly religious organisation? Dr Gary Fettke explains the historical religious roots of vegetarianism in Australia and it implicates John Harvey Kellogg too.
I should note - the classical and Australian push for vegetarianism seems distinct from the more modern movement which does not emphasise ultra processed foods in the same way, and I look forward to interviewing vegan experts soon.
One thing is certain - the influence that Australian food manufacturers have on government food guidelines and policy is scary.
