B Encouraged: Proclaim Loudly -- God Doesn't Abandon You When Your Strength Is Failing (11/17/2021)

Psalm 71 is a sober look at the ways our enemies can attack us in weak and vulnerable moments, declaring that our circumstances indicate that even God has abandoned us. But recalling a life of faithfulness, this aging author proclaims God's steadfast goodness as a reliable truth of who God is..."But I will keep on hoping for you to help me; I will praise you more and more." The nature of God is to restore us. We are to remind ourselves of this in perplexing times. Joining the Psalmist we say, "You will restore me to even greater honor and comfort me once again." Be encouraged!
