Minting Coins the old fashioned way - How Money was made in 1920 at the Royal Mint of Canada

This film was most likely shown to visitors to the mint in the early 1920s. It comes from the Prelinger Archives but I felt it needed more exposure. It is public domain I believe but if you own the rights to it, please let me know and I can remove it.

Erratum(aka goof-ups): The film makes reference to producing dollars and gold coins, but the Royal Canadian Mint produced neither in 1920. Canada produced gold sovereigns until 1919. A silver dollar was proposed in 1911 with two silver and one lead pattern struck, but plans were scrapped. The master dies were saved however and the obverse one (the one with the king's profile portrait) was used in 1936.
