In our study, James now moves on to the issue of arrogance in the face of God's will and sovereignty. We have free will but not free REIGN. To know this and continue to live arrogantly as though God's will is not supreme is SIN. James then closes the chapter pointing out that knowing the right thing and not doing it is sin.
