OK yes yes, there is a trick, of course there is a trick. Theoretically, it should be impossible to get out and I am guaranteed the win. If you somehow got out do let me know your sequence of moves that led there.
----- SPOILERS FOR TRICK AHEAD-----------
Here is an explanation of the trick: If you think of this as a checkered grid, black and white, if you are on a black square, and move an odd number of times, you will always land on a white square. If you are on black and move an even number of times, you will always land on black. And vice versa. I eliminated the blocks that are impossible to land on, so that's is how the magic is done. I don't wanna be that guy, but chances are, if you got out I think you miscounted.
