Jacob Hammack my 14 year old son Revisits site of where his leg was broken severely in a baseball game at Big League Dreams Las Vegas July 3, 2021. That day he hit what should have been a stand up triple. So, four months later with team mates as he still recovers undergoing physical therapy he jogs the Dodger Field and replays what "should have been" that Day. This was an effort to get back on the horse so to speak and face your fears in the face. That July 3rd day was devastating causing him to have emergency surgery and a permanent bracket with 6 screws installed. As he ran the bases, he slipped on a loose base at 2nd which caused a large overstep and severe break as he tried to crawl back to second base in excruciating pain, the poor short stop had to timidly and empathetically tag him out. The fields are still in extreme disrepair at this facility. That day Jacobs mom ran for help and there were no paramedics or medical supplies anywhere not first aid, no splints, no ice. The worst part was there were many workers in the food service area that were asked for help but did not even stop pouring their drinks to help a very stressed mother. 45 minutes later he was finally carted to the car on a golf cart by a very nice maintenance man. Thank goodness for that guy at least. Anyway, Jacob is working on strength, agility and hitting in the meantime and the return will be exceptional in December 2021 or 2022. This facility has new owners now so hopefully they will fix these dangerous fields.
