A must-have for any Husqvarna 562 chainsaw!

After putting around 60 hours of run time on my saw I had been noticing build-up of fine dust inside the neck of the carburettor, after speaking with a number of other owners and with Husqvarna themselves, this seems to be a common issue and the original filter type doesn't seem to quite cut the mustard, especially if working with dry dusty timber. I know of a number of foresters that work on clearing debris following forest fires who will know first hand the damage dust getting into the engine can cause!

Fine particulate making it through the filter is bad new's as it means the particulate matter is getting into the engine, and over time will form a course rubbing compound inside the engine resulting in premature engine failure!

This Large air filter kit has been re-designed to rectify this issue. It features a newly designed air filter and an adapter plate to mount it to the Carb, the kit also comes with a new top engine cover although this is not a necessity when installing this kit so you could individually order just the plate and filter.

The kit is available to order from Husqvarna so all you will need to do is contact your local dealership and they will be able to get one for you as I don't believe your able to order direct from Husky.

The kit will cost you around £40 but can save you a whole heap in repair bills!

I am not sure if this specific kit is compatible with other Husqvarna models so you would need to double-check with your local dealer for your specific chainsaw, alternatively contact Husqvarna's customer services as they are always happy to help.

I will be doing a follow-up review on the performance of this kit in the near future so be sure to keep an eye out for that.
