The cost of modifying a Nissan Z

The Nissan Z isn't out yet, but the upgrade path has already been paved by the Infiniti Q60. The VR30DDTT will be shared between both platforms. The Z will have the option of a 6-speed manual transmission and 9-speed automatic. Will it be able to make 1,000HP? Probably not in stock form, but it should with forged pistons, forged rods and supporting components. The stock turbos will eventually need to be upgraded to make the most power. The concern will be the stock block and it's limits. This is still to be determined because development on the Q60 wasn't as enthusiastic, but we may see those being pushed with the new Z.
