SpaceX launches the Crew-3 mission for NASA
This video shows the moment SpaceX launched the NASA Crew-3 mission for the company’s fifth human spaceflight.
The crew comprised of European Space Agency astronaut Matthias Maurer and NASA astronauts Tom Marshburn (pilot), Raja Chari (mission commander) and Kayla Barron (mission specialist).
The Crew Dragon capsule, named Endurance, launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Nov 10th 2021, and will spend 22 hours in orbit before arriving at the space station.
The quartet, all are rookies, except for Marshburn, who has two visits to the outpost under his belt, will stay onboard the space station for at least six months.
The video was captured by the Twitter user @StarFleetTours after they captured the moment the Dragon Capsule took flight.
The Twitter page described the event as “A thrilling experience!”
