Data or Art?

Time to discuss data visualization and art! Let's see if you can tell the difference...
Many scientists feel they don't need to focus on the presentation of their data, that working to make it "pretty" is a waste of time. I'd argue that if you want anyone (including other academics) to appreciate your work, making your data beautiful is time well spent!
