The Modern Federal Reserve

The modern Federal Reserve came into being in 1951 after throwing a political tantrum that accelerating consumer prices signaled inflation. They were wrong on that count (again). They were wrong in the 1960s too. And the 1970s. The 1980s-2020s don't look so hot either.
