Autumn Walk Around The Block

It was such a nice Autumn evening outside, so I decided to take a walk around the block. The falls leave colors of yellows, reds, oranges and browns, made for beautiful scenery on both sides of the street. You can also hear the fallen leaves crunching under my feet as I make my way on down the sidewalk. The time was just a bit after 5:00 PM, so there were rush hour drivers whizzing by me, especially on 79th Street. This time of year, it gets dark early, and since Daylight Savings occurred a few nights ago, its usually dark by 5:45 PM. During this walk I realized that our street kind of has a “Halloween”: the movie ‘feel’ about it. You get an eerie feeling that Michael Myers could pop out from one of the long shrubs along the sidewalk.
