how to create engaging content

I've been told that my excitement and enthusiasm can be infectious. Which came as a big surprise because it just comes naturally to me. I never think about it or do it consciously...it just happens.

A lifetime ago when I was teaching corporate workshops and classes, students would tell me all the time that my level of energy and enthusiasm was infectious.

Today, with my online courses, students tell me all the time that the worst part of the course is when it ended...because they wanted it to keep going -- they were engaged and energized and excited the entire time.

So how does any of this relate to you, your online business, and your sales and marketing. Well if you think about it, energy, enthusiasm, and excitement for whatever it is that you do is indeed infectious.

It can spread to even the most cold, closed, turned off person. In other words, enthusiasm and energy are a form of persuasion -- good persuasion.

And obviously, good persuasion is what promoting, marketing, and selling in your online business is all about. If you can't catch people's attention, if you can't keep them engaged and interested, you're gonna have a hard go of things.

So, if you're naturally outgoing as I am, leverage that in your business -- your personality will come through naturally. But us naturals have to be careful that we don't go too far to a point where it's annoying and irritating.

On the other hand, if this stuff doesn't come naturally, then you certainly don't want to come across as being a fake or phoney. Here what I'd suggest is to simply relax and be friendly and warm with your customers and with your audience.

There are plenty of warm, inviting, but more mellow people -- and that's just fine. That still falls under "good persuasion." What you don't want to do is make people feel uncomfortable or negative in any way. That's "bad persuasion."
