how to write marketing email content

If you're having trouble writing emails to send to your list of customers, prospects, and audience members, then here's a simple structure to help speed things up:

Simply think in terms of a classic 3-act structure -- Act I, Act II, and Act III. Each can simply be as short as a paragraph each, comprised of just a few sentences.

So here's how it might work: Act I is your opening few sentences or opening paragraph. Here, you want to hook the reader by telling them what you've got for them and why they should care and stick around to read the rest of your email.

Act II is really the meat of your email -- whatever it is that you have for them. Here, you can dig into the valuable content you have for them, the how-to steps to get a specific result -- that sorta stuff.

Finally, Act III is a call to action. Here, you're asking the reader to do something...and it might not necessarily be to buy something.

It's just any action you'd like them to take...like signing up for an online workshop, hitting reply and sharing their ideas with you, or maybe it is a product or service recommendation you're telling them about.

So that's the basic 3-act structure. What's great about following this format is that it makes writing your emails fast because it already provides you with a blueprint and a structural framework to work within.

And, you can use this three act formula for your other content too -- blog posts, video content, articles, web pages...really, any kind of material you're putting together for your audience.
