This year marks the 50th anniversary of the TV anime "Lupin III". The anime "Lupin III" is not only a TV series. My favorite "Lupin III" theatrical movie is the second one, "Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro”. It was released on December 15, 1979, and was directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It was Miyazaki's directorial debut for an animated feature film.

This month's song is the theme song of "Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro" sung by Bobby, "Fire Treasure". This song reminds me of Clarice's lonely smile as she is hugged by Lupin in the last scene. About 40 years have passed since I first encountered that smile.
