Isaiah Meanderings (11): Ch 8 - Why Not Ask Your God?

Why did the people of Judah prefer the guidance of psychics and mediums over God? This is a question God passionately raises. "Can the living find out the future from the dead?" Nevertheless... God speaks and what God says are words of life and promise, forgiveness and well-being. God moves forward into their rebellion with a plan of hope for the other side of their self-selected demise. Destroyed by the very enemies they pursued, the people are in need of salvation. It is their God, then, (the very one whom they mocked and ridiculed) who shows up to comfort and lead them home.
