At least 8 killed on Friday & dozens injured after 50,000 mostly teenagers surged rapper Travis Scott's performance at Astroworldfest, resulting in one of the deadliest concerts in US history.

Travis Scott, who grew up in Houston & spent the past week hosting events celebrating the city, such as opening a community garden, new basketball court, and charity softball tournament, has released a statement that he is "devastated".

The promoter, Live Nation, agreed to cut the show short after people collapsed at 938pm. But Travis Scott appeared to play his whole set and finished at 1015pm. — The festival's producer has a history of OSHA violations and in 2016 was sued over injuries at a crowded concert.

The last clip in this video shows the trailer used to promote the concert which was criticized for 'inviting the danger'.
