New baby giraffe makes new friends at San Diego Zoo

There's a brand new baby giraffe at San Diego Zoo and the four-day-old cutie is slowly making friends with the rest of the herd.

The still nameless baby animal is a boy and the footage shot on Friday (November 5) shows him taking the very first steps in the enclosure, getting to know his fellow giraffes as well as some gazelles from nearby.

He's still being nursed by his mom and will continue to be so for another few months, but the calf is also already imitating his parents, nibbling on anything from the trees to the rocks in the enclosure.
