doing what you love vs making money

The trick is to figure out something that you're good at...something that you enjoy doing -- not "do what you love," but just "something you enjoy"...that's also useful to others. That is, something that can help other people solve their problems.

So again, there are 3 ingredients -- 3 components: Something you're good at; Something you enjoy doing; Something that's useful to others.

Where these three things intersect is where you'll be the most happiest and the most fulfilled. See, what we're doing here is taking a completely different approach to your business. Most people are chasing money. All "online business gurus" are promising instant millions, right?

Instead though, we have an opportunity here...an opportunity to do work we're good at...that we enjoy doing...that's useful to others...that's completely and totally fulfilling. Why would you ever want to retire, stop doing this, and sit on a beach all day?

Or worse, why would you trade your happiness, your fulfillment, and your TIME (the one thing none of us can get more of) chasing money on the hope that you just might get it? It's betting your future on the hope that you'll "strike it rich." Is that a solid plan?

Instead, why not just put in some time to figure yourself out, figure out what you're good at and what you enjoy...and then come up with a few ways to use that to solve other people's problems? That's a much more reasonable approach.

So again, there are 3 ingredients: Something you're good at; Something you enjoy doing; Something that's useful to others. If you only have two of these then life's gonna be pretty miserable.

Imagine doing something you're good at that's useful to others...that you despise. This is where most people are. Or, imagine doing something you're good at that you really enjoy...that isn't useful to others? This is where artist are. This is a hobby.

The bad news (which isn't all that bad) is that you're gonna have to figure this out for yourself. No one can do this work for you. The good news is, it's totally possible, especially in this day and age, to build a profitable online business around these three components.
