'Doctor Who' fans divided over SFX in new Flux series launch.
Doctor Who   fans were split over the launch of season 13 on Halloween night, with some complaining the special effects were disappointing.

Flux: Halloween Apocalypse marked the start of Jodie Whittaker 's final series as the Time Lord in the cult BBC sci fi series, and also the introduction of comedian John Bishop as new companion Dan Lewis.
While some viewers complained the CGI in the episode appeared dated, other fans pointed out Doctor Who is famous for its low-budget special effects.
Joe complained: "I don’t understand how the #DoctorWho CGI looked better 10 years ago."

And Ben Williams tweeted: "Is it me or have the visual effects in #DoctorWho have gotten worse over time?"

Warhead commented: "Why did it look so cheap and tacky?
There were better effects and lighting in 2005.
That first scene, in particular, looked like a video game from twenty years ago."

But Paul defended the effects, tweeting: "My favourite thing about people’s complaints about this series?
