Cancun resort guests take shelter after rival drug gangs open fire by beach

Two men presumed to be drug gang members were shot dead after two rival groups of drug dealers faced off on a beach in Puerto Morelos, a region south of Cancun, on Thursday afternoon, November 4. The incident prompted guests at a nearby hotel to seek shelter.

This video posted on social media shows guests and employees of Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun Resort sheltering in hiding places. The video also shows guests who had gathered at the lobby and being escorted back to their room after being taken out of hiding.
